Baseball Grass Lake 15, Stockbridge 3: The Warriors finally had a chance to kick off the season with two big wins. Jacob Collins finished with three hits and three RBIs and Jack Reid added three hits and one RBI. Walker McKibbin and Collin Knight combined for a four-hitter for Grass Lake.  Grass Lake 22, Stockbridge 2: Leadoff hitter Avin Sandoval finished with three hits and three RBIs leading the Warriors’ 14 hit attack. Jacob Collins and Luke Guthrie also knocked in three hits for Grass Lake (2-0). Max Schafran pitched the three inning giving up only two hits and striking out seven batters.  Olivet 6, Hanover-Horton 2: The Comets could only muster three hits in the loss. Hanover-Horton 8, Olivet 1: Hanover-Horton gained a split with a solid pitching performance by Jack Wooster. The HHHS pitcher gave up only four hits in 6.2 innings. Luke Soper and Cameron Sherwood each recorded two hits and a pair of RBIs for Hanover-Horton (2-2).  Softball Grass Lake 17, Stockbridge 0: Bree Salts finished with four hits and knocked in three runs for Grass Lake. Baseball Columbia Central 3, Onsted 2: Conor Rentfrow earned the win for CCHS striking out nine batters in seven innings. Lukas Calhoun and Nick Wilding each collected hits and RBIs for CCHS.  Columbia Central 6, Onsted 5: Lukas Calhoun knocked in two runs and Noah Dankert recorded two hits for CCHS. The Golden Eagles earned a sweep of their former LCAA rivals on the road Saturday.  Quincy 5, Hanover-Horton 4: Quincy scored two runs in the final inning to pull out the win. Jack Wooster and Lukas Nadall each recorded a pair of hits for the Comets.  Hanover-Horton 5, Quincy 4: The Comets returned the favor with two runs in the final inning to pull out the non-conference road win. Luke Soper finished with three hits and Channing Hull tallied two hits and knocked in three of the runs for Hanover-Horton (1-1).  Waverly 9, Jackson 1: Zander Resor finished with a hit and an RBI and Connor Bush went 2-for-3 in the game for Jackson.  Waverly 17, Jackson 0: The Vikings gave up nine runs in the first inning of the home lass.
