Heat Wave Continues Through Tuesday

Our unusably late season heat wave will last into Tuesday before a cold front finally comes through early Wednesday to bring in cooler air. A second cold front late in the week will bring seasonably chilly air into the area.  It is not out of the question we could have showers and even a thunderstorm early Wednesday with that cold front but at this point widespread precipitation is not expected. Hot and humid weather will continue into Tuesday before a cold front comes through the area on Wednesday bringing in cooler air. Expect the hot and humid weather pattern we are in to last into at least Tuesday. An isolated thunderstorm is possible this afternoon near I-69 in the mid to late afternoon. After that the next chance for significant rain is when the cold front finally comes through in the Wednesday to Thursday time frame. Unseasonably Warm and Humid

A weakening cold front will drop down into the region this morning and dissipate by the afternoon. Another unseasonably warm and humid day is forecasted. There is a low chance of a thunderstorm to develop, however most locations will remain dry. The heat continues into Friday and Saturday as southwest winds maintain the supply of very warm air. A  weak area of high pressure will track through the region today providing the area with mainly dry conditions after a foggy start. Tonight a cold front will be weakening as it tracks in from the northwest. This feature will dissipate over the area on Thursday. A weakening area of low pressure will track through southern parts of Lower Michigan today. Thus some showers and even a few thunderstorms will be possible. An area of high pressure shows up for Wednesday resulting in mainly dry conditions. A weakening cold front dissipates over the region as it moves in Wednesday night and Thursday.
