Nice Holiday Weather Continues
We get two days of warmer temperatures then much colder temperatures are expected Tuesday through Saturday. A high pressure system passing off to our south today should allow skies to clear by mid to late morning. Afternoon temperatures will reach the mid to upper 70s. A strong cold front will cross southwest Michigan Labor Day afternoon. It will be breezy and warm ahead of the front with highs in the lower to mid 80s. A line of thunderstorms should develop by evening. Some of the storms could be strong to severe. Today: Sunny. Patchy fog until midday. Highs in the upper 70s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts to around 20 mph. Tonight: Clear. Lows in the upper 50s. Light winds. Labor Day: Sunny until midday, then partly sunny with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 80s. Southwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts to around 30 mph.
