Continued Dry and Warm

A low pressure system will bring with it increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms along with locally heavy rainfall. A stronger storm arrives over the weekend with a risk for heavy rain and thunderstorms. Today:  Partly sunny, with a high near 79. Breezy, with a south wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Tonight:  A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. South wind 11 to 16 mph. Thursday:  Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature rising to near 67 by 11am, then falling to around 61 during the remainder of the day. Continued Warm with Increasing Cloudiness

Southerly winds ahead of a low pressure system will draw up a warm and increasingly moist airmass. An area of high pressure will build into Ontario today. This fair weather system will generate southeast winds here in Michigan...drawing a dry airmass into the state. A low pressure system will attempt to move in from the west on Tuesday...but it will be slowing down. Thus it looks like any chance for rain will hold off until Wednesday. Today:  Sunny, with a high near 69. East southeast wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Tonight:  Partly cloudy, with a low around 47. East southeast wind 11 to 14 mph. Sunny and Warmer

A weak cold front will diminish as it slips down into the Northern Great Lakes region today and tonight. An area of high pressure will then build into Michigan for Monday. As this feature tracks east on Tuesday a warmer and increasingly moist airmass with gradually build into the area for the middle part of the week. Today:  Sunny, with a high near 68. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Tonight:  Clear, with a low around 39. North wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Monday:  Sunny, with a high near 68. East wind 6 to 9 mph. Overnight Frost Possible

A large area of high pressure located in the Upper Plains will  track slowly eastward into the Great Lakes Region through the weekend. This fair weather system will act to keep it dry. A weak cold front will try to slip down from the north Sunday night...but this feature is expected to diminish as it moves in. Today:  Mostly sunny, with a high near 58. North northeast wind 7 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Tonight:  Patchy frost after 3am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 34.
