Columbia Central 8, Michigan Center 5 – Lukas Calhoun and Nick Wilding each had two hits to lead the Golden Eagles. Conor Rentfrow struck out seven batters on the hill

Columbia Central 19, Michigan Center 3 – Lukas Calhoun batted 3-for-3 with 5 RBIs for CCHS. Noah Dankert and Chase Dukate also had three hits each, CC improves to 20-5.

 

Hanover Horton 2, Manchester 1 – A walk off RBI single by Channing Hull won game one for the Comets, and Lukas NaDell batted 3-for-4. Luke Soper had a day on the mound, striking out 14 batters and allowing one hit.

Hanover Horton 7, Manchester 4 – Cameron Sherwood and Jack Wooster each collected two hits for HHHS, they improved to 20-10.

 

Grass Lake 17, Vandercook Lake 1 – A clutch hitting display from Luke Guthrie helped GL dominate the Jayhawks on the road. Guthrie hit an inside the park grand slam in the 4th inning. Bryant Cook and Sal Vitale each had three hits for the Warriors, and Jacob Collins struck out 10 batters with one hit allowed.

Grass Lake 17, Vandercook Lake 0 – Manny Schafran led the bats for the Warriors, finishing 3-for-3 with 4 RBIs. Cobi Sandoval earned the pitching win for GL as they improved to 23-3 and are the #5 team in the state currently (D3).

 

Napoleon 8, Addison 7 – Tyler Nall batted 3-for-4 for the Pirates, Nall also pitched and struck out 10 batters.

Napoleon 13, Addison 5 – AJ Buckley batted 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs for NHS, Buckley also earned the pitching victory.

 

Lumen Christi 7, Okemos 1 – LC knocked off D1 Okemos in both games on Monday. Paul Sattler dominated at the plate for the Titans, batting 4-for-4 with 2 RBIs.

Lumen Christi 5, Okemos 2 – Lumen Christi improves to 19-6 overall and sweep the doubleheader, they will host Napoleon on Wednesday.

Hanover Horton 6, Manchester 0 – Alexyn DuBois dominated in the circle, striking out 13 batters and also batted two hits.

Hanover Horton 11, Manchester 6 – Alexyn DuBois batted 4-for-4 with 3 RBIs to lead the Comets. Haley Applegate added three hits as HH improved to 27-3 overall.

 

Columbia Central 7, Michigan Center 0 – A powerful pitching performance from Hailey Wetherby helped CC dominate game one, she struck out 16 batters and allowed one hit.

Columbia Central 7, Michigan Center 5 – Eight different Golden Eagles had a hit to sweep the doubleheader. Camden Knapp struck out 11 batters in the circle as CC improved to 21-5.

 

Grass Lake 17, Vandercook Lake 0 – Bree Salts dominated at the plate, hitting two home runs in the first and second innings. Salts finished with a 4-for-4 and 8 RBI performance. Leilah Smith and Nadene Hubbard each added three hits for the Warriors.

Grass Lake 10, Vandercook Lake 0 – Leilah Smith and Emily Brown each had three hits to lead GLHS as they improved to 24-4.

 

Catholic HS League Semi Final: Lumen Christi 8, Toledo Notre Dame 0 – Ollie Powers was strong in the circle for the Titans in the Catholic League Semi Final. She went 7 innings, striking out 13 batters while only walking 1. Mallory Arcaro led the offense with 2 hits and Bella Wrozek drove in 2 runs. LC will play Toledo Central Catholic for the league championship.

Western 8, Jackson Christian 0

 

Columbia Central 1, Manchester 0 – CC won in a battle of the top two teams in the Cascades Conference at home on Monday.

Michigan Center 4, Jonesville 0 – Sophia Allen scored two goals to lead the Cardinals on senior night.

BOYS GOLF

Big 8 at Maple Valley (Maple Brook GC) – Springport finished first as a team, shooting a 189 total. Concord placed fourth as a team with a 204. Max Argumedo won individually for the Spartans, shooting a 44.

 

Homer Jamboree: Cayne Hays of Michigan Center finished second, shooting a 45 just one shot behind the winner.

 

Napoleon Jamboree: Bristen Cekander of Hanover Horton won first place, shooting a 39. Lucas Conaway (Napoleon) and Hoyt Wrona tied for 3rd with a 42 each.

 

SCAA Jamboree at Hillsdale Academy: Jackson Christian placed 4th out of 9 as a team, shooting a total of 194.

 

TRACK & FIELD

BC Harper Creek at Western: Western fell in both boys and girls on Monday.

Northwest at BC Pennfield: Northwest boys defeated the Beavers, and the girls fell on Monday on the road.
