Jets Air Station Ribbon Cutting.  5 PM.  More space for college athletics, student and community workouts and public events – all are in store with Jackson College’s new Jets Air Station. Jackson College will celebrate the new facility at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, May 13 at 5 p.m. There will be a short program, tours and light refreshments.  Jets Air Station is an inflatable air dome that measures 120 by 330 feet.  Inside, the Air Station features a rubberized floor with four basketball courts, four volleyball courts, six pickleball courts, and two tennis courts. A marked walking track surrounds the perimeter of the athletic courts. To meet visitors’ needs, there are restrooms, a greeters’ station, bag/shoe storage, a lounge/seating area and vending machines.  Community members are invited and welcome to the Jets Air Station ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Hanover-Horton Track Annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser.  The Hanover Horton Track & Field Teams will be hosting their annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser with Silent Auction on Monday, May 13th from 5 pm to 7 pm at Hillside Methodist Church.  Spaghetti, Garlic Bread, Salad, Drink, and Dessert.  Just $5 per dinner.  To go orders available.

JAMA 87th Annual Dinner. JAMA and the Shop Rat Foundation are set to unveil a major collaborative manufacturing initiative addressing a crucial need in Jackson during the 87th annual JAMA Dinner on May 13, 2024. This initiative will not only support the growth and sustainability of local manufacturing businesses but also contribute to the economic vitality of the region by ensuring a skilled workforce for years to come.  More than 250 representatives from local manufacturing companies, partners and community supporters will be in attendance. The event is open to the public. Registration and tickets are available here.  Doors open at 5 p.m.  Dinner begins at 6 p.m.  American 1 Events Center, Keeley Park, 128 W Ganson St, Jackson.

Yoga at the Eastern Branch.  3:00 pm – 4:00 pm.  Come relax, unwind, and take care of your body with the slow and gentle flow of yoga at the Eastern Branch of the Jackson District Library! Bring your own mat. If you do not have one, a limited amount may be available.  This program takes place on the second Monday of the month at 3 PM.
