Jackson College Launches New Job Search Resource

Find a job and find tips for keeping a job with a new online job resource now available at Jackson College, at www.jccmi.edu/jobforjets! Jobs for Jets is part of the College Central Network and offers job posting opportunities for employers and job-search tools for job seekers. This new resource allows Jackson College students and alumni to both create and post their resume online, as well as career portfolio, to be seen by prospective employers. Community members may search for jobs. In addition, there will be announcements about services and events, as well as helpful articles and videos to assist in the job search. Beginning this fall, Jackson College will increase internship opportunities for all career education students. This new resource will be a valuable tool in helping to find internship opportunities as well. “College Central Network is the perfect way for Jackson College students and our community to become connected. An unseasonably strong low pressure system will track eastward through the Great Lakes region tonight through Friday. Numerous showers and even some thunderstorms will accompany the passage of this system. The warm and humid airmass will give way to a cooler airmass as the system passes off to the east. 2018 Spring Arbor University Athletics Hall of Fame Class Announced

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Three individuals will comprise the 22nd induction class of the Spring Arbor University Athletics Hall of Fame. Bill Bippes ('93), Paul Kato ('83) and Kelli Ludwig ('98) will be formally enshrined at a banquet on the evening of Saturday, February 3 in the Ralph Carey Forum on the campus of SAU.     Bill Bippes ('93) – Coaching For 22 years, Bill Bippes served as either an assistant or head coach for the Spring Arbor cross country and track & field programs. He led the Cougar cross country teams to new heights during his tenure earning nine conference championships, including eight women's titles, and six Coach of the Year awards. He guided the women's team to 12 NAIA national championship appearances with a national runner-up finish in 1999, as well as a National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) national championship in 2000.   On the track, Bippes was named the NCCAA National Coach of the Year in 2000 after leading the Spring Arbor women to a national title at the indoor championships. He also steered the men's team to a pair of fourth place finishes at the NAIA indoor national championships in 2003 and 2004. Throughout…

A weakening cold front will drop down from the northwest today and into Lower Michigan where it will dissipate. This system will trigger some scattered showers and thunderstorms. A deepening low pressure system will move in from the west Thursday into Friday.  Numerous showers and thunderstorms will accompany the passage of this storm.
