(August 10, 2020 3:31 PM) Michigan reported 557 coronavirus (COVID-19) positive test cases today, with the state reported total now at 87,960. The State of Michigan is reporting 8 COVID-19-related deaths today, with the state total at at 6,257. State Cumulative Total of Recovered COVID-19 Cases (as of 8/7/2020): 63,636.  This information is updated daily at 3 p.m., with COVID-19 results included as of 10 a.m.

(August 10, 2020 12:00 PM) The Jackson County Health Department released the COVID-19 positive numbers for Jackson County.  As of 12 PM today, there are 691 positive cases (cumulative), and 33 deaths (cumulative)*.     There are 2 new cases since yesterday’s report.  Cumulative recovered, as of August 7, 2020:  495** The Michigan Department of Corrections is reporting as of 1:30 PM Sunday, August 9, there are 1,465 confirmed positive cases at Jackson facilities and 158 confirmed positive staff cases. As of 7 AM August 6, there are 9 persons at Henry Ford Allegiance Health being treated as inpatients for COVID-19. *These numbers do not reflect any cases or deaths identified through Michigan Department of Corrections.  Their numbers are listed under a separate category for MDOC cases here:   Michigan Statistics. (August 10, 2020 6:32 AM) The Michigan Department of Corrections is reporting as of 1:30 PM Sunday, August 9, there are 4,128 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases at facilities throughout the state.  Of that statewide total, 1,465 of the confirmed positive cases are at Jackson facilities. In Jackson, there are 297 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases at Parnall Correctional Facility, 377 at Charles E. Egeler Reception and Guidance Center, 1 at Cooper Street Correctional Facility, 18 at Duane Waters Health Center and 772 at G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility.  Among staff, there are a total of 422 COVID-19 positive cases statewide.   In Jackson, there are 74 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases among employees at Parnall Correctional Facility, 3 at Cooper Street Correctional Facility, 37 at Charles E. Egeler Reception and Guidance Center, 41 at G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility and 3 at Jackson Regional Warehouse. There have been a total of 68 deaths (statewide) of prisoners who had tested positive for COVID-19, 22 of those deaths were among prisoners at Jackson facilities.  The Michigan Department of Corrections is listed as a separate jurisdiction in the daily MDHHS report of positive cases in the state.
