New Chief Medical Officer Announced for Henry Ford Allegiance Medical Group
(November 18, 2022 2:15 PM) Henry Ford Health has announced the appointment of Tim Peterson, M.D., MBA, FACEP, as Henry Ford Allegiance Medical Group’s new Chief Medical Officer (CMO). As CMO of the Henry Ford Allegiance Medical Group, Dr. Peterson will act as the principal operational leader for the Group, assisting medical director leaders with oversight, mentoring, and monitoring of performance and quality of care. He will also assist with the development and deployment of the Medical Group’s strategic plan and collaboratively work toward enhancing efficiency while delivering high-value, culturally appropriate, patient-centered care. Dr. Peterson brings nearly two decades of clinical care and health care leadership experience to the Henry Ford Allegiance Medical Group. Most recently, he held the roles of population health executive and associate professor of emergency medicine at Michigan Medicine where he has been in clinical practice in the Adult Emergency Department. Dr. Peterson also served as board chair and accountable care organization executive for the Physician Organization of Michigan ACO.
