The Trojans would like to add a fifth. Homer finished the regular season with a 5-4 record – earning its ninth MHSAA playoff appearance in 10 seasons. Head Coach Brett Vernon said the Trojans need to be ready for power teams – during the regular season and the playoffs. “We have been deficient in the past when teams run power football,” Vernon said during the JTV Media Day. “We need to stand up, have grit, and defend against those teams.” The Trojans didn’t struggle on offense, scoring 40 or more points in four of 10 games in 2022. Key returnees for the Trojans are Davey Mohn (quarterback/cornerback), Carter Harris (receiver/defensive back), Diego Lebron (receiver/defensive back), Jacob Wood (lineman), Quentin Slaughter (lineman), Kane Blatter (end/linebacker), Luke Butler (end/linebacker), Chase Bryant (running back/linebacker), and Harley…
